OTT SLD
The OTT SLD is a measurement system designed for continuous recording of water speed and level in streams, rivers, and canals. Using the acoustic Doppler principle, the sensor reliably measures flow velocity across a wide range of conditions, including during floods.
Applications:
- Reliable performance in waters with high sediment load and flood conditions.
- Suitable for small water bodies as well.
- Natural rivers, streams, irrigation systems and water canals
Tecnnology
Equipped with two horizontal ultrasonic transducers (Side Looking Doppler) for measuring water velocity.
Processing
All measurement values are analyzed, verified, and processed by an integrated signal processor before being used for discharge calculation.
Communication
All measurements can be retrieved using SDI-12, RS485, RS232, or Modbus RTU protocols and are available for storage on a data collection platform, such as the OTT netDL station manager.
Measurements
Velocity measurements from up to nine cells, along with measured water level, are used to calculate discharge either internally in the OTT SLD or externally on a data logger.
