Lufft MARWIS

The MARWIS road surface condition sensor is one of the most advanced portable instruments designed for monitoring road conditions. The sensor is mounted on a moving vehicle (at a height of 1 or 2 meters above the ground) and measures a wide range of environmental parameters related to the road surface. Specifically, it records air temperature, road surface temperature, water film thickness, ice percentage, dew point, and grip (friction). All of this data can be monitored in real time by the user through their smart device using the Marwis App.

Road surface temperature

MARWIS, with its optical sensor, has the ability to record road surface temperature while in motion.

Water film thickness

With its optical sensor, the Lufft MARWIS is capable of detecting the presence or absence of water on the road surface, as well as measuring its thickness.

Ice detection

Thanks to its powerful features, it can detect the presence of ice on the road surface while accurately calculating its percentage.

Grip

By gathering information from all other parameters, MARWIS can calculate the level of vehicle grip on the road surface.

Web Platform

With the help of ViewMondo, the user can view real-time data directly from the vehicle where the sensor is installed.

Ambient temperature / humidity

In addition to road surface parameters, MARWIS is capable of accurately measuring ambient temperature and humidity.
