Our dedicated team utilized advanced technology, employing the Leica ScanStation P20 and the industrial total station Leica TS30, to define excess material on the duct and determine the exact installation position on the ship.
METRICA S.A. accomplished meticulous scanning of the duct and the ship stern, pinpointing precise welding and cutting positions. The fieldwork, conducted by a two-person team over two days, was seamlessly complemented by one day of office work involving another team member.
Utilizing Leica ScanStation P20 and Leica Cyclone software, we gathered and registered scans of the duct and the ship. The registration process, enhanced by targets measured with the Leica Total Station TS30 for heightened accuracy, required 16 setups and a mere 8 hours of measurements to cover essential surfaces. Back in the office, point clouds were expertly registered to a common coordinate system, ensuring a comprehensive and accurate outcome.
