Cylindrical Fuel Tank Inspection

Harnessing the capabilities of 3D laser scanning technology, we capture a wealth of three-dimensional positions, offering factual insights into assets. When applied to large-scale storage tanks and barges, these scanners precisely record position data, revealing true shape, geometry, deformation, and interior structure locations. The focus of this project involves the meticulous internal and external mapping of a cylindrical tank to identify potential deformations. Beyond geometric details, the dense 3D point cloud not only furnishes precise measurements but also provides a visually rich representation of the scanned object.
