The iUSV-170 is an unmanned, autonomous surface vehicle (USV) with a small-to-medium-sized catamaran design. Focused on ease of use and portability, the vehicle consists of two inflatable pontoons and modular carbon fiber sections. It can be assembled in under 20 minutes and used by one or two people, with a total weight of just 14.5 kg (including batteries). Its overall dimensions are 1.7m (length) x 0.6m (width).

With a payload capacity of 20 kg and a deck size of 67 x 60 cm, the iUSV-170 can accommodate a wide range of sensors and instruments. It is ideal for operations in inland waters (such as lakes, rivers, and reservoirs), port facilities, and coastal areas. This versatile platform can host a variety of sensors for hydrographic, environmental, or technical/construction tasks.

Technology that leads to maximum ease of use.

The iUSV-170 operates in 3 different ways:

1. Powered by two (2) motors in a differential/skid steering configuration for long-duration operations.
2. Equipped with four (4) motors in a differential/skid steering setup for heavy-duty tasks or challenging operational conditions.
3. Utilizes four (4) motors in a vectored configuration to enable “keep station” (~dynamic positioning) for specialized tasks such as water sampling, water column profiling, and more.
